chicken coop changing and digging. dads fathers day present

Day 1 of digging and cutting

Me and my brother Connor remade our chicken coop to make it better! I filled up a whole wheel barrow until some of the dirt fell out! My brother cut some vines and I cut vines with a knife with no handle! But I was really careful luckily I was wearing gloves but not in this picture.

  1. Hello Jaxon

It looks like you were super busy yesterday! Did your Dad enjoy his present?
I bet it was good to be outside in the sunshine yesterday! How many chickens do you have?

    1. Hi Courtney.

My Dad did enjoy it. I only have 1 chicken we had 4 chickens but they got old and died, but we still have 1 Twiggy is her name.

  2. Morning Jaxon, what a difference you and your brother have made. I know you would be careful using that knife and those vines would have needed a sharp blade. Dad would have been so impressed. Thanks for sharing this with us as it’s given me some ideas for my garden. Is the chicken house in the sun? Can they come and go as they please? Excellent work all round.

    1. Hey Sue.

I was careful using the knife. Mum wanted to take the knife away but I promised to be safe. The chicken coop is in the sun. They have a perching area and a nesting box inside the shed and a fenced off area to dig.

  3. Morning Jaxon,
I reckon the chickens and dad will love the updated chicken coop. Your Dad would be very proud of what you have achieved for those chickens. I have always wanted to have a chicken house in the backyard. Are your hens good layers for eggs?
